Tina Hopp, academic (2011)
In her work Tina Hopp explores relationships between assumed polarities, such as line and surface, presence and absence, intellect and intuition. Through a playful approach to different media the imagery created recurrently shuttles between artistic self-reflection, perceptional interference and a poetry of the paradoxical. Questions are raised about the workings behind the language of the visual and the roles of concept, process and materiality within the art-making process.
